Construction quality
Marine environments are hard on stitching and hardware. Look for:
- Double-stitched and overlocked seams — essential for holding up to movement, salt exposure, and repeated wet-dry cycles
- PTFE thread — resists UV and saltwater degradation far better than standard polyester thread
- YKK® locking wetsuit zippers — marine-grade zippers that resist corrosion and keep the inner filling secure even in wet conditions

Quick-drain design

For ongoing care:
- Rinse with fresh water after saltwater or pool use
- Hang via the stainless-steel eyelet to drain and air dry completely
- Spot clean with mild soap and warm water — avoid harsh chemicals
- For oil or sunscreen stains, a degreasing dish soap works well
- Store in a dry, shaded area when not in use for extended periods
