Shipping Policy

Bean Bag Covers & Filling

Bean Bags R Us products are supplied as unfilled bean bag covers unless otherwise stated. Bean bag filling is not included unless it is specifically shown as part of the product purchased.

Our bean bag covers are packed for efficient shipping, allowing us to deliver our products throughout Australia and internationally without the significant cost associated with transporting bulky bean bag filling.

We do not ship filled bean bags through our standard parcel delivery services.

Exchanges, Returns & Refunds

Please see our Exchange & Returns Policy. Bean bag filling is non-returnable.

Dispatch & Processing Times

  • Our Australian distribution centre is located in Sydney, NSW.
  • Orders placed before 11:00am Sydney time on a business day are generally dispatched the same day.
  • Bean bag filling is an exception and will generally dispatch on the next business day.
  • Orders placed after the daily cut-off will generally dispatch the following business day.
  • Orders placed after 11:00am on Friday will generally dispatch the following Monday, excluding public holidays.
  • Dispatch times may be longer during peak periods such as sales events, Black Friday and Christmas.
  • Same-day dispatch is subject to stock availability, order verification, warehouse processing and courier collection times.

Dispatch times refer to the time your order leaves our distribution centre and are separate from the courier's delivery time.

Pre-Orders

Products clearly marked as Pre-Order are not available for immediate dispatch. The expected availability or dispatch date will be displayed on the relevant product page wherever possible.

Pre-order dates are estimates and may change due to international freight, shipping schedules, customs clearance, production delays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will endeavour to keep customers informed of any significant delay.

Pick-Ups / Click & Collect

Our distribution centre is a commercial fulfilment facility and is not open to the public. We are therefore unable to offer warehouse pick-ups or Click & Collect.

Australian Deliveries

  • Australian orders may be shipped using Australia Post, Direct Freight Express, StarTrack or another suitable carrier depending on the destination, parcel size and service selected.
  • Standard and Express delivery options are available where supported by the destination and carrier.
  • We do not ship filled bean bags through our standard delivery services.
  • Bean bag filling may be dispatched separately from bean bag covers.
  • Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates provided by the applicable freight carrier and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Same-Day Sydney Delivery

Same-day courier delivery may be available to selected Sydney metropolitan addresses, subject to stock availability and courier availability.

A $30 same-day handling fee applies in addition to the applicable Uber or other same-day courier charge. Please contact us before ordering if you require urgent same-day delivery.

Tracking Your Order

Where tracking is available, tracking details will be sent once your order has been dispatched. Please allow time for the carrier's tracking system to update after the parcel has been collected.

Courier delivery dates and tracking estimates are provided by the carrier and may change due to weather, network congestion, transport delays or other circumstances outside our control.

International Deliveries

  • We ship internationally with Australia Post International, depending on the destination and service availability.
  • We do not ship filled bean bags internationally through our standard parcel services.
  • Express international deliveries to major destinations will often arrive within approximately 3–5 business days after dispatch, although delivery times vary by country, carrier and customs clearance.
  • Shipping options and estimated delivery charges are displayed at checkout wherever available.
  • Commercial quantities of filled or pre-filled bean bags may be available by sea freight by prior arrangement.
  • We also offer custom and printed bean bags for commercial, promotional and corporate requirements.
  • If you have an urgent shipment, unusually large order or special freight requirement, please contact us before ordering.

International Duties & Taxes

For international orders, applicable import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout where supported for the destination.

Where duties and taxes have been collected by Bean Bags R Us at checkout, these amounts are prepaid for customs clearance and customers should not be required to pay those same import duties or taxes again when the shipment arrives.

The amount payable will be shown during checkout before your order is completed.

Australian deliveries are not affected by international import duties or customs charges.

Delivery Delays, Missing Parcels & Courier Issues

Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the nominated freight carrier. Bean Bags R Us is not responsible for delays, misdirected parcels or tracking issues caused by the carrier, including delays from weather, network congestion, peak periods, customs or other circumstances outside our control. Delivery times shown at checkout are carrier estimates and are not guaranteed.

If your parcel has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us and we will assist with tracking the shipment and, where appropriate, lodge an investigation with the carrier.

If tracking shows a parcel as delivered but you cannot locate it, please check the delivery location, safe-drop area and with other occupants before contacting us. We may need to obtain delivery confirmation or conduct an investigation with the carrier before determining the appropriate resolution.

Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing an order.

Please check your shipping details carefully before completing your purchase. Once an order has entered warehouse processing or has been dispatched, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.

If an incorrect or incomplete address results in a parcel being redirected or returned to us, additional freight or redelivery charges may apply.

Authority to Leave

If you provide the carrier with authority to leave your parcel unattended, please ensure that you nominate a secure delivery location. Delivery instructions are subject to the individual carrier's policies and the driver's assessment of whether the location is safe and accessible.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
