Refund policy

1. Overview

Bean Bags R Us Pty Ltd does not offer refunds, returns, exchanges, order cancellations, or order changes for change-of-mind purchases.

Once an order has been placed, it is immediately processed through our distribution and fulfilment system. Due to the size, speed, and structure of our warehouse and fulfilment operations, orders cannot be changed, amended, cancelled, or refunded once submitted.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all order details before completing checkout, including:

  • Product type

  • Colour

  • Size

  • Quantity

  • Shipping address

  • Whether filling is included or sold separately

  • Any product-specific information shown on the product page

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the product information and accept this policy.

2. No Change-of-Mind Refunds or Returns

We do not provide refunds, returns, or exchanges for change-of-mind reasons, including but not limited to:

  • You no longer want the product;

  • The item was purchased as a gift and the recipient does not want it;

  • The size is not suitable, including where the product is considered “too big” or “too small”;

  • You ordered the wrong product, colour, size, or quantity;

  • You purchased a bean bag cover believing filling was included, where the product page states that filling is sold separately;

  • You failed to read relevant product information before purchase;

  • You found the item cheaper elsewhere;

  • You changed your mind after the order was placed;

  • You no longer require the item.

All product dimensions, inclusions, exclusions, and important product details are provided on our product pages. Customers must review this information before purchasing.

3. Orders Cannot Be Changed or Cancelled Once Placed

Once an order is submitted, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

This includes changes to:

  • Product selection;

  • Colour;

  • Size;

  • Quantity;

  • Shipping address;

  • Delivery method;

  • Billing details;

  • Adding or removing items from the order.

Our fulfilment process begins immediately after an order is placed. Because orders are processed through a large-scale distribution and fulfilment centre, we are unable to intercept, amend, cancel, or recall orders once they enter the system.

Please ensure all details are correct before completing your purchase.

4. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns or provide refunds for:

  • Opened items;

  • Used items;

  • Items removed from their original packaging;

  • Items where the tamper-proof seal has been broken, removed, or damaged;

  • Items not in original, saleable condition;

  • Items with removed warning labels, brand labels, care labels, or instructions;

  • Sale, clearance, promotional, or discounted items;

  • Pre-order items;

  • Custom, branded, commercial, or made-to-order products;

  • Items damaged due to misuse, abuse, abnormal handling, lack of care, incorrect maintenance, or use contrary to product instructions;

  • Items damaged by using pockets, seams, tabs, or non-handle areas as handles, particularly pool bean bags, which may become very heavy when wet.

Pre-order purchases are not refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law, as these goods are manufactured, allocated, and shipped on a priority basis.

5. Incorrect Orders or Fulfilment Errors

If we have made an error with your order, such as sending the wrong item or quantity, please contact us as soon as possible with:

  • Your order number;

  • Details of the issue;

  • Photos of the item received;

  • Photos of the packaging and shipping label.

Where the error is confirmed to be ours, we will provide an appropriate remedy.

6. Faulty or Damaged Products

This policy does not exclude or limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product is faulty, damaged, or does not comply with a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Damage caused by misuse, improper handling, normal wear and tear, failure to follow care instructions, or use outside the product’s intended purpose is not considered a product fault.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit, exclude, or modify any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law. Where a product has a major fault or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law regardless of this policy.

Unauthorised returns will not be accepted and may be returned to sender at the sender’s cost.
