Bean Bags R Us was founded in 2011 with a straightforward idea — make comfortable, well-built bean bags that suit the Australian lifestyle. The story began when two Melbourne locals trading city life for the Gold Coast took a trip to Bali. Along the Balinese coast, they noticed vibrant bean bags scattered on the beach — comfortable, portable, and perfectly suited to a relaxed outdoor lifestyle. It was immediately obvious that bean bags were an ideal fit for the Australian way of living: year-round sun, outdoor entertaining, and a preference for furniture that moves with you rather than against you.

That observation became the foundation of Bean Bags R Us. Back in Australia, the focus quickly turned to pool bean bags — and Bean Bags R Us became the first company in Australia to manufacture them. The original pool range made an impression on the Australian outdoor furniture market, and that pioneering spirit has shaped everything we've done since.

• Honesty — We don't fabricate specs or make claims we can't back up. If a fabric is water-resistant rather than waterproof, we say so. If you need to source filling separately, we'll tell you where to find it.
