Great bags but awful to fill

They are great, but the hole in the inner bag is way too small.

All of our inner liners are designed with a 40cm zipper opening, which is actually industry-leading and larger than most on the market. After filling thousands of these ourselves over the years, we’re confident this size provides the right balance between easy filling and maintaining the strength and structure of the liner.
We also provide filling guides to help make the process as smooth as possible, as bean bag filling can be a little tricky the first time regardless of brand.

Great product and service

Great bag but needs more beans!

It seems to be a great bean bag, big enough for 2 people to rest comfortably, but it needs far more than the recommended 350 L of beans if you want to use it flat on the floor like in the pic on website. With 400 L of beans we still sink straight through to the floor so we will likely add another 100 - 200 L. Beans are approx $11 per 100 L so altogether you will need to spend another $55 + just for beans.
Still, it's great quality with an inner bag just for the beans! Really well made and seems like it will be very comfortable to sit or lie on when full!

We’re so glad to hear you’re happy with the overall quality and construction, especially the inner liner. That extra layer makes filling, adjusting and long-term use much easier (and tidier!).

In terms of filling, you’re absolutely right — the “recommended” volume is a starting guide. How full a bean bag feels can vary quite a bit depending on how you want to use it. If you’re using it flat on the floor as a lounger (like in the photos), it does need to be filled much firmer than if it’s being used in a more upright, relaxed seating position. Beans also compress quite quickly in the first few uses, which can make it feel softer than expected.

Many customers who prefer that structured, raised look do choose to add extra fill for a firmer, more supportive feel — especially for two adults.

I love it - dog doesn’t

I love it arrived quickly all perfect except the dog doesn’t seem to like the beans moving under his feet and won’t get on it. As soon as I can find the time I’ll replace the beans with foam and see if he finds that more acceptable.🤦🏼‍♀️

The Hayman is designed primarily for human comfort, so while many dogs do end up claiming them as their own, some pups aren’t fans of the way beans shift under their paws. For dogs that prefer a firmer feel, foam filling can definitely be a better option.
If you are ever looking for something specifically designed for dogs, we do also make dedicated dog beds that are better suited to their comfort and support needs.
